Post How is the rating calculated for Killer Sudoku puzzles?
I found today's difficult Killer Sudoku a lot more straightforward than the typical Friday difficult puzzle. But I found the difficult puzzle on July 5th exceptionally difficult. And the July 5th puzzle was only solved 111 times (of which only 88 were within the time limit according to data provided by Patrick when I raised the 5th July puzzle in another thread) whereas today's puzzle has already been solved 149 times with a day and a half still to go.

But the rating for the July 5th puzzle is 147.5, whereas the rating for today's puzzle is 176.7. And the 19th July puzzle was solved 330 times, but has a rating of 189.4! [confused]

There would appear to be something of a disconnect between the way in which the rating is calculated and the actual difficulty level of the puzzle.
