January 18 9x9 difficult
I found today's 9x9 to be particularly difficult. Ultimately needed lots of trial and error.

Re: January 18 9x9 difficult
I also struggled with it and had to reset it from the start at least once. Finally managed to solve it, but it was definitely one of the trickiest 9x9s I've encountered in quite a while. It's only been solved 43 times so far, which I think would be way below average at this stage (although it is subscriber only, which tends to distort things).

Re: January 18 9x9 difficult
I was going to write about this one too.
I finished it with about 15 mins left on the 24 hrs clock.
I may have been the last to finish it. Only 53 people solved it.
ETA: My mental block was dealing with the 4 cell Addition = 30. I kept thinking that (7, 9) was the only way to have a sum = 16, when (8, 8) would have worked. So, I kept putting a 7 in the 3 cell addition = 20; that was wrong.
